Our little book group

The wonderful and intelligent Melissa B. wanted to start a book group with her friends. Sadly Melissa had to move on but we have continued her dream of a book group. The group seems to lose and add members all the time because we live in a place where students are in and out and families move around. But we are all joined together as friends, women, and lovers of books. If you are interested in joining please contact one of us, we would love to have you out!

Looking to the end of the year

November and December are busy times of the year for everyone!  Most of us will be traveling and will not be in town for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Many of us won't have time to read one book, let alone two books!  Last year we combined both months and I thought that worked out great!  I wanted to change the line up for the end of the year and combine November and December to one meeting close to the beginning of the month of December and push December's book to January.  The left sidebar reflects these changes.

November/December at Dawn's house
Pope Joan

January at Molly's house
Mere Christianity

Also, with the year coming to a close I will be asking for book suggestions for next year.  I want to "reveal" the 2013 book list at our November/December meeting.  I want to allow everyone 4 weeks to submit their suggestions so I will be asking for suggestions around mid October.  This will then allow everyone 2 weeks to vote on the books and for me to tally the results in time for early December.  I encourage all of you to get your minds working on what books you would like our group to read in 2013!
